In 2003, John released his fourth album with Rick Rubin
entitled,
"When The Man Comes Around." A masterpiece of
this album was the song, "Hurt". This song was a Cash interpretation
of a Nine Inch Nails song and would become a centerpiece of the
Rubin-Cash work. The video of the song
propelled John back into the center stage with a new age of fans
and stunned the recording industry. The video and song helped capture 6 MTV Video nominations
and 3 CMA Awards during 2003. Included in that impressive list
of recognition was the "Song of The Year" for the 2003
CMA. A tremendous success for the 71 year-old singer. The
