It is interesting you headed your post "Brain Transplant," for that was the original title of the song. It was recorded at those Billy Sherrill sessions in 1984 which were the subject of a recent thread. Given that this song was considered the only one "worthy" of release at the time (along with its B-side, "Battle of Nashville" which John wrote), perhaps we need not wonder why the other songs are still in the can. Although I would love to hear the John and June duets on "Baby Ride Easy" and "My Elusive Dreams."
