Johnny Cash Boyhood Home

- Dyess, Arkansas -

In 1932, Ray and Carrie Cash took the opportunity to move the family to a sharecroppers home in Dyess, Arkansas. It was from these memories that John wrote many of the classics such as Pickin' Time, and Five Feet High And Rising. John only returned once in 1969 during the filming of a documentary. Though the family was always strong, the memories of those hard times were tough to remember for John. Toughest of all memories was the loss of his brother Jack.
