The Sound :

The Johnny Cash Show Band

The Nineties

This band has supported John throughout the early nineties and into today. It's current membership includes a few old alumni. Band members are:

Fluke Holland on drums

Still the master of drums and with Johnny to the end.

Bob Wootton on guitar

Bob has rejoined after a little time off. He still provides the "Boom Chicka Boom" and kept the bus rolling. Bob has played with John from 1968 to 1989, then from1992 till he stopped touring.

John Carter Cash on rhythm guitar

John Carter has literally toured with Johnny and June since birth. Matter of fact....even before then. He for the last couple of years he has played rhythm guitar for the show and been featured for a few numbers here and there.

Earl Ball on piano

Earl joined the group in 1977. He has produced some of John's work and even written a song or two for John. He playing knows no boundaries. JRC had earlier said " I always said that when I found the best pianist in the world, I would hire him. Well, now I have found him."

Dave Roe on upright bass.

Dave joined in 1992 and has provided that slap bass sound of the 1950's. At times when is slapping it to "I Walk The Line", it sound like the days of Sun all over.
