The Birth of a Website:

About thirty years ago, my Dad bought me my first Johnny Cash album. Since that time, I have found years of enjoyment in this man's music and message. Years have gone by, but I have always looked forward to that next installment in the career of John Cash. The albums of "Unchained" and "American Recordings" have really brought the efforts of JRC full circle. They have continued to strengthen my belief in the unique music that is Johnny Cash

As I sat down at my computer this past winter, I wanted to do something for Mr. Cash and his family in an attempt to thank them for contributing so much to my life. During this time, Mr. Cash and his family were facing tremendous challenges as his health had declined. A year early I had lost my Dad to cancer. He was a man who had also touched many lives with his career as a doctor. He was a fighter throughout this battle with cancer. As times during my Dad's struggle, I often found comfort in listening to "Unchained" late at night. Now his spirit has been set free...unchained.

No longer a nine year old listing to his first Cash tune, I decided to use my computer talents and knowledge of JRC's career to try and make something that would celebrate the trials, efforts and successes of Johnny Cash. That effort is what you have before you.

I have taken a few liberties with some of the photographic work. Many shots have been found through great searching on the web. Some have come from scrapbooks made when I was a kid. It is my hope that those contributing photo's and text to this project will allow me the opportunity of including this info on these pages. The goal of this project is to celebrate the life of a man who has made a difference for many.

Thank you, John and June, for the songs. Thanks for the tireless touring. Thanks for the message and for being a difference. ..just like my Dad was.
