stopped touring in 1998. After forty-two years
on the road, health problems caused him
to slow down the pace. Instead, he took time to redefine
himself as a musical artist by turning out some of the
most prolific recordings of his life. In 1999, he noted in his biography "Cash"
that he has had "a beautiful few months of rest and
relaxation, gathering strength and enjoying the
peace and quiet of the world with which I've
surrounded myself" As the song says....Till the next time he's
in town! |
